CONCEPT · PROTOTYPE A mobile app for plant care and identification — reminders, watering schedules, and diagnosis flows designed to keep users returning and completing key care tasks.
About the Project
A mobile application designed from scratch to help users track plant care routines, get reminders for watering and fertilizing, and access AI-powered tips for healthy growth. My role included UX research, defining user journeys, prototyping, and designing the entire interface.
The Goal
To create an intuitive app that makes plant care simple, engaging, and accessible for both beginners and experienced plant owners.
My Process
Discovery
talked with plant owners, from newbies to collectors, to understand how they care for their plants and where they struggle
Concepting
sketched different approaches (calendar-style reminders, AI tips, plant profiles) and compared them with competitors
Prototyping
tested quick clickable prototypes to see which flow felt natural for daily use
Design & Handoff
built a nature-inspired UI with clear visuals, then prepared design specs for developers
Result
Validated the core flow with real plant owners in usability sessions — early feedback was positive.
Built a reusable design system (components, states, empty screens) so new features stay consistent.
Prepared developer-ready specs, so the concept can move straight into build.
In test sessions, users navigated care reminders and diagnosis flows with little guidance.
